Pastor David E. Twigg is a native of North Carolina. God burdened Pastor Twigg to start a church in Holly Springs not far from where he grew up in the triangle area. His preparation includes earning a Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degree from Bob Jones University in Greenville, South Carolina. Pastor Twigg looks forward to seeing what God will do in this second church ministry he has helped to establish. Our Pastor’s seventeen years of experience include serving God in all aspects of the ministry. His doctoral dissertation is focused on building right relationships with God and others. He desires to continue to develop that focus in the lives of all individuals and families that attend Shadow Ridge Baptist Church.
Pastor’s wife, Jane, is from Normal, Illinois. She is a school librarian, and loves to read and encourage others to do the same. They have three children, Seth, Sarah, and Stephen ranging from ages twelve to sixteen. The children sing, play the piano, and Sarah also plays the violin. Jane and Pastor Twigg met in 1989 when she volunteered to work in a children’s Sunday School class with about fifty second graders. They also worked together with a singles group of about 180. Later, they worked in a church that ministered to the American military stationed at NATO Headquarters in Heidelberg, Germany for two summers. Jane serves now in our children’s ministries, and also plays the piano for Shadow Ridge Baptist Church.
Fred Mitchell assists Pastor Twigg at Shadow Ridge Baptist Church. Fred is a missionary with Baptist Home Missions who has teamed up with this ministry to lead the music and work with the youth ministries. Fred brings thirty years of rich experience to this ministry. He has served in California, New Mexico, Georgia, Puerto Rico, and eight years establishing churches in England. His background includes working with a Christian printing ministry located in Madison, Georgia. His wife Mary, has taught 16 years in Christian Schools. She is thankful for her mission experience in Hawaii and the Philippines teaching missionary children. They also have a son Frederic who is 16 and loves to work with computers in the area of graphic and web design. He has volunteered to design and create our church website, he also works with our Media Ministry here at Shadow Ridge.
